Paginated Search Results
Super Speedy Search, in addition to providing an immediate Ajax dropdown panel, provides full page search results too.
These search results, when using the fulltext index option, will return FAR faster than other search methods.
The full results page reuses the same de-normalised, fulltext-indexed table as the Ajax panel, so it stays fast even on very large catalogues. If your full page results feel slow, check that the fulltext index is switched on before anything else.

Search Results Per Page
To control pagination, visit Settings > Super Speedy Search and find the ‘How many results in full results page’ option. Set it to whatever value you like and the full page search results will then be capped at that number with pagination underneath to allow your users to browse further.

A smaller per-page number renders quicker and keeps each page light, while a larger number means fewer clicks to browse. Pick the value that suits how your visitors shop, there’s no single correct figure.
